Fiddle Playing Technique

This video on a bowing technique for fiddling by Ian Walsh, is very good. You'll notice he holds the violin differently than a classically trained violinist. Please view my other posts for information on holding the violin. The bowing and rhythm he teaches is very important in playing fiddle music. Even if you are not into playing fiddle music, practicing this rhythm is helpful in developing bowing and rhythmic skills.
